Students already use AI. Few understand it.
AI is a tool students already use without understanding it fully. The opportunity is not simply to introduce AI, but to help students develop the understanding and judgment to use it well.

The AILit Framework for primary and secondary education (2026) describes four domains of AI literacy. It also informs the PISA 2029 Media & Artificial Intelligence Literacy assessment.

A deeper understanding of how AI systems work, so students can take part in shaping how AI is built and used.
